THE OIKIA vision

TO RAISE A GLOBAL COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS COMMITTED TO CONNECTING, GROWING AND SERVING HUMANITY IN THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Founded in 2009 by Revd. Femi Olaleye, Oikia Christian Centre began as a small student fellowship at LUTH in Lagos. The name Oikia, Greek for "home," reflects the church's core identity: a spiritual home where people are reconciled to God and find their place in Him. It is inspired by the scripture John 14:2.

From those little beginnings, Oikia has grown into a global family with campuses across Nigeria, the UK, the US, and beyond. Through every stage of growth, the mission has stayed the same – Connect, Grow, and Serve Humanity; this is expressed through worship services, cell groups, outreach, and training.

The church believes that genuine encounters with God transform individuals, and transformed individuals transform communities and nations.

What We Believe

At Oikia Christian Centre, we believe in the life-changing power of Jesus Christ and hold to the truth of God’s Word as our foundation for faith, hope, and purpose.

About
God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

ABOUT
THE TRINITY

We believe in one God who exists eternally in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, equal in nature and glory, yet distinct in role and relationship. (Matthew 3:16-17; John 1:1-3; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

ABOUT
SALVATION

Salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead, and offers forgiveness and new life to all who believe in Him. (John 3:16; Romans 3:23-24; Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 4:12)

ABOUT
THE CHURCH

The Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Him. We are called to gather together, build one another up in love, and carry the gospel to every corner of the world. (Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 1:22-23; Hebrews 10:24-25)

ABOUT
THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate standard for faith and life, and through it God speaks, guides, and transforms those who receive it with an open heart. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12)

ABOUT
GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit is active today, equipping believers with spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church and the advancement of God's kingdom. Every gift is given by grace and is to be used in love and service. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Romans 12:6-8; Ephesians 4:11-12)

ABOUT
RESURRECTION

We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is the foundation of our faith and the guarantee of our own resurrection. All who are in Christ will be raised to eternal life at His return. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 20-22; John 11:25-26)

ABOUT
THE SECOND COMING

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and gloriously. His return will mark the fulfilment of all things, the final defeat of evil, and the eternal reign of God over all creation. (Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Rev. Dr. Femi Olaleye

Revd. Femi Olaleye is a teacher and preacher of the Word of God, deeply passionate about seeing lives transformed through salvation and believers equipped for the work of ministry.

Having begun teaching God’s Word at a very young age, he carries a strong conviction for the accurate teaching of Scripture and for raising disciples who are grounded in truth and able to teach others also. By the grace of God, his ministry places significant emphasis on the work of the Holy Spirit and the manifestation of His power in the lives of believers.

He is the Pioneer and Global Senior Pastor of Oikia Christian Centre but beyond ministry, Revd. Femi is also a trained medical doctor and a finance executive by profession.

Fondly known as PF, he is happily married to Pastor Tolani Olaleye, and together they are blessed with three wonderful children.
